Leviathan must be stopped™

Trevor Parry has an encyclopedic knowledge of tax and an unmatched determination that you will pay less of it.

“I believe that what comes from the sweat of your brow should be yours. Other than in time of war, the state taking more than 50% of what you make is morally indefensible. I am not opposed to government having an important role in peoples’ lives, but it has gone too far. Leviathan – the overreaching mega-state – must be stopped, and the best way to do that is to starve it.”

Roots

Trevor grew up in Scarborough, Ontario, in a single-parent family. He believes in the boot strap theory of society: no one is going to do it for you, so you’d better do it yourself. He finds countless examples of this in history, which is his intellectual passion, and ardently admires those great historical figures who embody force of will and gravitas.

Education &
Associations

Trevor became a top student and lawyer, earning four degrees along the way – including a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Laws in Tax Law. He is widely published, writing on a broad array of financial planning and tax subjects. He is also a dynamic public speaker, bringing his passion for entrepreneurialism and freedom to every appearance. Trevor is also a Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario and a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU), the Canadian Tax Foundation, Hamilton Law Association, the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA), the Royal Canadian Military Institute, the Albany Club and the Nectar Wine Society.

Gravitas

An avid student of Kyokushin Karate, in earlier years Trevor played rugby and football. Married
with three young daughters, his raison d’être is to provide his family with financial security and
a traditional role model, by protecting the fruit of his clients’ labours and fighting the socialist onslaught. He still tries to read 100 books every year, from a wide array of historical periods; it
is from there that his dedication to the idea of gravitas arose.

“It is a Roman concept, and the foundation of what citizenship should be. It is understanding the weight of the situation and bringing the appropriate level of maturity, expertise, and compassion to it. Of respect, including by dressing appropriately. It is putting others first.”

And doing it all with panache. To quote one of his heroes, Napoleon Bonaparte: “L’audace, l’audace, toujours l’audace.”

We celebrate mediocrity and punish endeavour in this country.

“We celebrate mediocrity and punish endeavour in this country. I celebrate exceptionalism in business by creating the industry’s most innovative tax minimization strategies. I speak out about my beliefs. Because for me, this is not a job – it is a vocation. My satisfaction comes from the intellectual and ideological fulfillment that I have helped someone keep more of what they have built.”
